Following its 2010 smashing of the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of pirates in one place, Hastings’ Pirate Day 2011 promises even greater things when it celebrates its status as Pirate Capital of the World on August 5th.

Pirates are planning to descend on Hastings from all over the world, with visitors from the Ukraine, USA and Europe already confirmed.

Piratical events throughout the day are planned for Hastings Town Centre, Hastings Old Town and St Leonards. The atmospheric Old Town will be transformed into a scene from the 18th century, alive with music, re-enactment camps, themed market and even a performance of the Pirates of Penzance.

Priory Meadow will be the place for pirate sword fights, live music and a full day of activities.

On the beach the stage will showcase sea shanties, pirate-themed Afro-Caribbean music and terrific stunt action with more stuntmen than ever before, all set with the sparkling sea as backdrop.

The climax of the celebrations is the pirate procession. Numerous drum groups from all over Sussex will lead thousands of costumed pirates in procession, with the aim of creating a ‘Mile of Pirates’, as they march through the town.

This is a real family day out so start polishing off your wooden legs and cutlasses and practising your ‘Ooh-aahs’, ready to join in the fun on August 5th.

I opine that to receive the home loans from banks you must present a firm motivation. Nevertheless, one time I have got a sba loan, just because I was willing to buy a house.
