Brighton Live - the city's annual free music festival - takes place next week (Oct 5-9), and sponsors Asahi have given us a case of their beer to give away to one lucky reader.
Now in its 7th year, Brighton Live sees 100 local bands performing across 20 venues, all for free. The festival launches at Madame Geisha on Tuesday (Oct 5), with three more days of live music from Wednesday to Friday, before winding up with a day of music related seminars, workshops and masterclasses at The Latest Music Bar on Saturday (Oct 9).
Amongst the many gigs this year (featuring the likes of Ramona, Monsters Build Mean Robots, Iris & The Wolves, The Robot Heart, The Valentines, The Toniks, Tallulah May and Kelly Barnes), there will also be a major flagship show at the Concorde 2 on Thursday (Oct 7). Guest headliner is indie troubadour Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, supported by The Xcerts, Munich, The Agitator, Autumn Red and Jumping Ships.
'But what about the free beer?' we hear you cry.
Well, you need to be over 18 years old to enter, for a start. Brighton Live organisers are taking care of the Asahi beer too, so you'll need to be able to pick it up from Brighton yourself once you've been notified of your win - although they have offered to deliver it if the winner has an address in the city.
Simply post the comment 'I am over 18 and I want free beer!' in the Comments box below. The winner will be picked and random and contacted via Facebook.
And remember, you must be over 18 to enter! We might demand ID before handing over any booze!
Good luck, and for full details of the rest of this year's festival visit www.brightonlive.net
