Firle
Village profile
The village of Firle, near Lewes, was profiled in an extensive feature for The Sunday Times this weekend.
In the article, journalist Cole Morton visits Firle to examine how village life may change with the creation of the new South Downs National Park in 2010.
However, in chatting to Firle's residents, including Lord of the Manor Viscount Gage and vicar Peter Owen-Jones (also presenter of BBC television's Around The World In 80 Faiths), Morton paints a fascinating picture of feudal village life in the 21st century.
