European student boost.
Hastings is ready to welcome more young language students from Eastern Europe.
Student leader organisations from Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and Georgia visited the town this month, staying for two nights at the White Rock Hotel.
During their stay, the leaders called in on Buckswood School, EAC Hastings, Embassy CES and Hastings English Language Centre, took a tour of the Old Town, and enjoyed dinner at Azur.
Kevin Boorman, Hastings Borough Council's Head of Communications and Marketing said, 'The language school business is vitally important to the town's economy, worth some £35m per year. The agents were very impressed with the town and its facilities, and we look forward to hosting more students from Russia and eastern Europe as a result.'
