Smugglers - The Last Sup
Scores of Hastings musicians turned up on July 19 to bid farewell to the Smugglers pub and its landlord Ewen Smith. Under Smith's stewardship, Smugglers had been one of the town's key live music venues, with a loyal clientele of artists, fans and afternoon drinkers. It will be greatly missed.
East photographer and pub regular Oliver Tookey was on hand to document the Smugglers' last stand with The Last Sup: and all-day live music festival organised by musician Colin Gibson.
Incidentally, Tookey will be signing copies of his book Hastings: Beautiful Town at Waterstones, Hastings on August 11, 11am-1pm.
