Broadsheets hail Eastbourne regeneration
Two leading national newspapers ran features last weekend, promoting the cultural regeneration of Eastbourne.
On July 25, The Guardian's Let's Move To... Eastbourne celebrated the mix of old and new in the town, represented by traditional cafes (notably the Lilac fish restuarant) and the Bandstand on one hand, and the hugely popular Towner Gallery on the other.
The same day, The Times reported on Why Architects Love To Build Beside The Seaside, highlighting the award-winning design of the Towner Gallery, alongside Bexhill's De La Warr Pavilion and Brighton's Jubilee Library and Embassy Court, amongst others.
Not exactly co-incidentally, both The Guardian and The Times articles were the work of the same journalist, Tom Dyckhoff.
Eastbourne Borough Council owe him a pint, at least.
