Go Faster Goes Floodlit
Go Fast! Speed Days returns to Beachy Head this summer, and races will now take place into the evenings.
Floodlights will be brought in for the first time, allowing more people to attend evening qualifications in the World Cup Downhill Skateboarding Championships.
Over 150 of the world's top downhill gravity racers will be zooming down Beachy Head Road, reaching speeds of up to 80kmh in downhill skateboard, classic and street luge, inline skating and gravity bike races.
Kris Yule, Go Fast Sports UK Director said, 'Go Fast Speed Days is an excellent event for both riders and spectators and with the inclusion of floodlit qualifying for this year's event, we expect it to be very exciting for both groups.'
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Susan Morris added, 'As the riders whizz down the bends of Beachy Head, it's a real spectacle for visitors who can take in the beautiful South Downs countryside at the same time.'
Riders interested in taking part in Go Faster! Speed Days should visit www.gofastspeeddays.com. The free event takes place from August 21-23.
