Captain Mike and the Mikateers have their own brand of unique cheese hiphop – a complete piss take of modern society in a non satirical style, the three lads bounce up and down singing unabashedly that their songs are just “a little bit catchy”. The openness of their comedy brand makes the music non offensive, even while singing about women with “Jiggly boobs and a wiggly bum.”
The music is like a combination of Madness and Goldie Looking Chain, with fairground undertones making it feel more like a show than a gig, any minute I was expecting a ‘roll up, roll up’, but stopping just short of that they advertise their availability for weddings, funerals and bar mitzvahs.

With clever lyrics and complete with actions with which they encourage audience participation Captain Mike can’t help but put a smile on your face even if it is due more to embarrassment than appreciation at points.
This is one of the few times where as a critic I have to let myself step back and just enjoy the entertainment – Butlin’s don’t have a clue what they are missing!
