capital's weekend gig at the Camden Crawl has made them unexpected stars of The Sun newspaper this morning.

The rising Eastbourne band played to a packed crowd at the Barfly venue on Friday (April 24), alongside politicised London trio The King Blues. Sun reporters Simon Rothstein and Nadia Mendoza picked the gig as one of the highlights of the whole festival - read their report here.

capital were back home by Sunday, for a rammed gig at The Prince Albert pub. Supported by Gary Page, the band premiered a brace of new songs and won over a raucous crowd of evening drinkers, including a riotous rugby team hoping to hear Born In The USA. The band responded with their own critique of America, Easier To Leave, a song from their just-released debut CD Days & Nights Of Love & War (Fierce Panda Records).

The Prince Albert gig was the latest in a series of hometown gigs capital are playing in support of their album. The band are also hoping to perform several more of their spontaneous busking gigs around the region over the next few weeks.
