Borough's Welsh weekend

There’s precious little rest for Eastbourne Borough F.C , who are playing Wrexham F.C. away at their Racecourse Ground this weekend. After their disappointing 1-0 F.A. Trophy defeat against Swindon Supermarine last Wednesday 17, non-league (but, as Wrexham know, ‘rapidly improving’) Borough are gearing-up for a challenging game with the relegated Welshmen. The team head out at Noon on Friday December 19 for the 540 mile round trip, with the match itself scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 20. There’s not much time off for Borough over the holiday period either, with two games against Lewes F.C. (home on Boxing Day, and away on New Year’s Day), and Oxford United visiting the Priory Ground on Saturday January 3. The Borough players, many of whom are fitting day-jobs around these matches, appreciate all the support received in 2008, and send best wishes for Christmas and the year ahead.
