The Rooms in Hastings are bringing together musicians and artists from all genres and cultures for Love Music Hate Racism, a day celebrating diversity not division.

Headlining the event on Saturday November 22 are Bob Constant And The Goodbye Horses, joined by folk singers, poets, DJs and other artists and entertainers for eleven hours of music, dance, theatre and lively discussion.

In recent times Hastings has suffered slightly tarnished press and the organisers are hoping this event will remind people Hastings has a long history of bringing people together.

'I want to challenge those elements in our society that prey on people's fears,' says co-organiser Chris Laverick. 'Groups, such as the BNP, have been trying to gain a foothold in the town, and it's sometimes easy to be swayed by baseless claims to divide, but it's our diversity that makes us unique and this event aims to reflect all that makes Hastings such a great town.'
