Money for Moon on a Stick
A cash injection has enabled an Eastbourne theatre company to stage an original outdoor summer show.
Eastbourne theatre company The Moon on a Stick has been awarded over £6,000 by Awards for All for their next production.
Lear’s Daughters is a prequel to King Lear and explores the results of neglect and sibling rivalry on the sisters, allowing an understanding as to why the three sisters behave the way they do in Shakespeare’s classic story.
The play, featuring a five person cast aged between 18 and 22, will be the last event for the Eastbourne Shakespeare Experience
The performances take place near The Towner Art Gallery in Gildredge Park from Friday August 22 to Sunday August 24.
Audience members are being encouraged to picnic in the park while they enjoy the promenade performance. Picnicking will start at 5pm on Friday with the performance starting at 7pm. On Saturday and Sunday picnicking will start at around 4pm with the show starting at 6pm.
Tickets are £7 (£5 concessions) and can be purchased-
