Is Boris inspiring British brats to go abroad
Boris Johnson’s public decision to holiday abroad is being copied by young brits, a survey shows.
The London mayor announced he would holiday abroad—see Boris Blasts British Beach Breaks—and it seems he isn’t alone.
One in ten British youngsters have never visited a UK beach, a poll has revealed.
2000 children aged between five and twelve years old were surveyed and results show that they are more likely to have holidayed abroad than on the British coast.
Many kids couldn’t say where popular seaside destinations such as Eastbourne, Brighton, Bournemouth, Weymouth or Skegness are.
Tom Wright, chief executive of Visitbritain.co.uk said, ‘As the next generation of travellers, we have to encourage their appreciation of a British holiday’.
