Go Fast Speed Days is returning to Beachy Head and promises to be even better.
Downhill skateboarders, luge racers, inline skaters and gravity bikers will be racing at speeds up to 60mph along the road at Beachy Head from Friday September 12 to Sunday September 14
More than 100 international riders entered the first ever UK leg of the World Downhill Skateboarding Championships held in Eastbourne last year. This year, thanks to the Beachy Head road being recently resurfaced, the event will be better than ever as racers reach speeds not seen before.
Kris Yule, Director of Go Fast Sports, said, ‘Go Fast Speed Days is a great event giving both the world’s best and local novice riders the chance to experience the thrill of gravity racing. The newly resurfaced road will mean faster speeds for the riders and more action for the spectators.’
The event is completely free to spectators and has been extended this year to take place over three days.
For the first time this year, those who want to do more than just cheer on the competitors will be able to try their hand at the world’s most dangerous gravity sports race as they shoot down the course that runs from the Beachy Head Pub to Birling Gap.
