- Hastings on Top
Hastings topped the league of ten South East coastal destinations people have visited, or would consider visiting, according to independent research that has just been published.
Carried out by Tourism South East and Arkenford, the results showed that over 20% of those interviewed had visited Hastings, much more than any of the other coastal towns in question. Of those who hadn't visited, more people (almost 30%) said they would consider a visit here.
Kevin Boorman, Head of Destination Management & Marketing for Hastings Borough Council, was very excited about the results, saying, ‘this is a tremendous result for Hastings. A lot of people and a lot of organisations have worked very hard to improve the image of Hastings, and this research proves that work has been successful.’
