Police station on EBAY in hoax

A prankster put a Sussex Police Station up for auction on EBAY.
The cheeky Eastbourne resident listed the Grove Road building early this week.
Web users were amazed with more than 600 visiting the page.
But the online hoax was short-lived. Police discovered the auction after a tip off and have already removed the listing - saying they plan to track down the trickster.

'Whilst I give the person 10 out of 10 for humour I cannot say the same for the spelling on the advert,' grumbled police chief Dick Coates, admitting the prank had generated quite a bit of interest.
'I will be personally visiting the person responsible and will deal with any issues arising out of it.'

The listing has been removed by EBAY.
