Just like a Milli Vanilli comeback, popular club night Lord of The Manor makes its return, still shrouded in controversy.

Flava’s popular bi-weekly promoter’s competition is back for its second year and the line up has been unleashed.
The competition will revolve around a similar formula to last year, but this time there will be a huge opening party to kick things off and an award ceremony to end the proceedings in style.

This year’s winners can expect a spectacular prize, as a five star trip to Pacha in Marrakech, Morocco is up for grabs.

The competition, as before, allows would be promoters to spend £500 of Flava’s cash booking acts, buying decorations and producing flyers and posters in an attempt to establish themselves as the next Mean Fiddler.

In the end it will be down to the judges, which is what sparked last year’s hullabaloo. External judges will be overseeing proceedings this year and although none have yet been confirmed, organisers are attempting to procure the services of radio DJs, record company executives and professional promoters in the hope that it will quell last years controversy. Flava’s manager Joe Durbridge says: ‘The last competition gained a great deal of publicity from the alleged controversy. However, the majority of people involved and aware of the competition all enjoyed the event and agree that it was good for the town and its people.’

The line up for this years Lord of the Manor competition is as follows.

October 6 – Flava and Hpnotiq – V.I.P opening party and Hpnotiq lounge.
October 13 – Paul Delaney – Pimp My House.
October 20 – Pyro and Fya – Festival Flava.
October 27 – Shanna and John – tbc.
November 3 – Franco Bidanco – tbc.
November 10 – Carl Hannaghan – Strawberry Lemonade.
November 17 – Alien DJs – Abduction.
November 24 – Awards Ceremony – Held in Flava restaurant.
