Idol set to SNAP up Under 17s
After popular demand, the immensely successful South Coast Idol will next year include an Under 17s category.
Secondary school pupils are being given the chance to exhibit their talents as SCI links up with Crimestoppers SNAP (Say No And Phone) dance nights.
South Coast Idol organizer Chris Grayston said, ‘South Coast Idol was hugely successful on its second year, but that success also brought disappointment for those too young to take part. SCI has now opened the competition to young people so they have that opportunity.’
Auditions for the Under 17’s will commence at SNAP events across the South in the New Year.
Proceeding this, a promotional tour will visit all SNAP events in Hampshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex throughout October, November and December, where previous SCI finalists will perform. And inspired Year seven to eleven year olds can pick up registration forms for the competition.
The Eastbourne leg is on October 24 at the Winter Gardens. For details
